Breaking: Muhoozi Kainerugaba airlifted to Nairobi as Oulanya left to rot at home

As COVID-19 takes its toll on top officials, President Museveni’s son, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has been flown to Nairobi aboard an air ambulance while the speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanya who is also battling the virus was left to the mercy of local medics on orders of Museveni, a highly placed source has intimated.

Muhoozi was placed on an oxygen support system on a state-house ambulance in a critical condition driven to Entebbe airport where he was strolled on an ambulance plane.

Kainerugaba is said have contracted covid-19 weeks ago but it was discovered at a later stage leading to an immediate evacuation. His condition is yet to be publicly communicated however, sources say that he has secured an ICU bed at Nairobi Hospital.

The development comes at a time when covid-19 has ravaged the entire medical system and several top government officials have since contracted the virus.

Oulanya is critically ill; his fate hangs in balance and as a result, parliament has announced that all businesses are suspended for two weeks.

Others top official who are hit by the virus include, deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Kadaga who missed the ministerial swearing in and 18 other cabinet and state ministers as confirmed by Minister of State for Health Margaret Muhanga her recent tweet.
